GoatHuis ("we", "us", "our") operates the goathuis.nl website and related services. We help people find rental homes in the Netherlands by sending alerts when new listings match their search criteria.

• Alert preferences: cities, budget, property type, and other search criteria you configure.
• Payment data: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.

We use your data to:

• Provide and improve our rental alert service.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Send you email alerts that match your search criteria.
• Respond to support requests.

Our legal bases under the GDPR are: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interest (improving our service), and legal obligation (tax records).

4. Third-party services

We share data only with trusted third parties that help us operate:

• Auth0 — authentication and identity management.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting and database services (data stored in the EU).

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
