Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using GoatHuis ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The service

GoatHuis monitors Dutch rental listing platforms and sends you email alerts when new listings match your search criteria. We aggregate publicly available listing data — we are not a real estate agency and do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or suitability of any listing.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — automated or shared accounts are not allowed.

4. Subscriptions & payments

Paid features are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page and include applicable taxes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page — access continues until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until the end of their billing cycle.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
• Resell or redistribute alert data commercially.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Availability & uptime

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Listing platforms may change their structure at any time, which can temporarily affect alert delivery. We will do our best to fix issues promptly.

7. Limitation of liability

GoatHuis is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, we are not liable for missed listings, late alerts, inaccurate listing data, or any indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual property

All content, branding, and code of GoatHuis are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your data.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
